Hi,
currently running & enjoying a V60 D3. This, and my last two diesels (Passat and Mondeo) have all had a one-way valve in the VNT / EGR vacuum system. They're usually fitted in the main hose that runs from the vac pump to the VNT / EGR solenoid. Anyone know why these one-way valves are there? Is it to ensure a problem in the 'engine' side of the vacuum system won't affect the brake servo assistance? cheers, Craig |

Probably
but it wont prevent all problems For example if you have a leak and the vacuumpump can still create some pressure difference than it wont be shut of by the valve |
