Default V40 lpg Purchase

Hi folks,

I am just about to buy a v40 (2000) 1.8 150k with gas conversion, lots of niggly things wrong with it namely Heater, Drivers door opens even if locked,Low rear end, airbag (over 10 yrs) and most importantly the gas cuts out at 70 (ish) randomly, how would i know what gas kit is in the car and how easy would it be to re fit to a similar volvo (maybe even a 2.0l) and does that sound like a bad fault with the gas??

regards

Pete

Default Fuel consumption :O

I have been mulling over the figures for the v40 1.8 and it would seem that it's returning 25mpg on lpg at a cost of 14ppm, my HDI 406 if I drive it like its stolen returns 42mpg at a cost of 16ppm

Does this make any sense?, i'm finding it hard to find a decent saving if that sounds about right does anyone know of a car that would take the gas kit and save me pennies?

Should be possible to improve the consumtion on that a little.

Are you using Amlwch 78p ishfor you gas price? Cam in gaerwen is a lot cheaper @ 69p.

If you want super cheap running buy a Smart car and use the kit on that!

Heya, we use the volvo on sundays to travel to private hospitals to give them a clean, so we use gas all over the country , the smart would be great but i'll have to check the legalities of towing the staff along in a trailer haha

I'm just trying to work out if I should just have one car (406) and if we need two just hire one for the day instead of keeping the Volvo,
