Default New (1998) V70 Owner with questions?

Hi All,
I have just bought a 1998 V70 2.5 tdi se auto it has 159k miles on the clock one owner lots of work done to the suspension with reciepts and lots of history. On the down side is the bodywork which is a bit dented here and there and the interior is thilthy ie the owner had two Alsation dogs ! I drove the car and it drives superb no rattles knocks etc it changes smoothly and engine is responsive. I paid just over £1000 for the car which has 6 mths mot and 2 mths tax the cambelt was replaced at 80k so needs doing asap me thinks. My question is is there anything i should check now i have bought the car what are the main faults on this model? ie is there any preventative maintenance i can carry out? The car can still be seen advertised on Autotrader for £1295 did i get a bargain? any advice very much appreciated :thumbs _up:

I'm sure someone will come and move you shortly. In the meantime here's a bit of a guide for you to read through

No worries. The engines are pretty much bullet proof. The engine in yours is an Audi diesel and well maintained will last forever. My S80 has that engine with 211,000 miles and drives like new
