Default Vibrations on new suspension

Hi

I'm the proud Owner of a 850 t5 of 94 with only 29.000Km the van was from my boss that hardly drive it when he was around, so I took the chance and booth this amazing car.

I've been upgrading my Volvo with IPD sway-bar new suspension of Kony yellow sport and H&R Spring, all parts were replaced including top and bottom mounts. The suspension is currently in full comfort in the back and 3/4 of a turn in the from the comfort.

The wheels were calibrated, the wheels are align but even so when driving I'm getting this vibration in the entire car it's almost constant but it's not felt on the steering wheel, also the ride is quite stiff and I don’t know why...

I’ve order new engine mounts to see if this is the problem, but until I get my order and I’m able to put the car on the garage I would like to see if anyone had the same experience and has some input to help me figure out this issue.

Thanks
Daniel

The IPD anti-roll bars tighten things up considerably and I'd certainly expect the Koni Yellows to be firmer than the OE shocks even at the softest settings. It's impossible to say without being in the car to compare it, but I'd say a firm ride would be perfectly normal with those mods. It shouldn't be jarring or crashy, but it's not going to be anywhere near as compliant as the OE suspension.

I'm not sure why you'd be getting the vibration but the engine mounts and any other bushes/mountings are certainly a good place to start.

Hmm H&R springs, you know it stands for Hard & Rough??

Just my opinion that but I lean more towards eibachs now after experiencing H&R's on a couple of cars.

Hi

Thanks for the feedback, I'm know that with the IPD anti-sway bar and H&R springs that the ride should be a more stiff, but the question is that I don't feel natural the constante vibration like I'm in a massage chair runing in a flat rood at normal speed...

Regards
Daniel

I would suspect wheel alignment then. It's always advisable to have it check after installing new suspension parts.

Sorry I see you say you've checked that?? I would check again though.

Do you really mean alignment? I'd have thought that checking wheel balance would be the next step? (along with tyre damage etc.)

Cheers!
