Default Water gathering in rubber door seal

Hi all,

I'm not really sure how to describe this, or if it is even a problem.

I've noticed that after rain, when I open the drivers door, there is a lot of water dripping from the rubber seal that runs around the door.
This seal thing has ventilation holes in it, but they don't point downward so it is hard to understand how it is supposed to drain.

Looking at the other doors, they have the same thing, but they aren't full of water.

The water stays in the rubber tube, and won't dry up. I've taken to trying to dry it out with some cloth.

Can anyone tell me how the water is getting in (as I can't see how), and how best to prevent this (or improve the drainage)? NO water is getting inside the car as far as I can tell.

EDIT: having problems adding photos.

Here is a link to some photos I took of the door and the rubber seal thing.

Thanks
Chris.
