Question Rear Oxygen Sensor - Whats it called, where is it?

OK so the engine managment light was on, had the codes read and reset as some were too old, the one they said it would be casuing the light to come on would be the rear oxygen sensor. So he cleared them and said if it came on again to get the rear oxygen sensor change, and its came on today again.

Now i should have got more info at the time... i know NGK make a direct replacment for around £85 (garage price) and Volvo £200 ish, but cant remember the correct name for the part. Assuming its not just rear oxygen sensor.

Can someone tell me what the correct term is, where its located and is it easy to replace? And also some options on where to buy it.

Its a Volvo S40 2.0 T 2002

Thanks

Am asuming that the 2002 model will have 2 one in front of the cat one behind the cat? And are they also called lambda sensors by chance, but whats the proper name, ie the one you'd ask for at a parts desk.

Not quiet true, its more of a temp senser than a lamba probe,

It keeps an eye on exhaust gas tempritures to work out if the cats working or not,

mine hasn't got a cat and sensor doesn't put warning light on cos its still reading exhaust gas tempriture
