Default Replacing Stock Suspension

I have been thinking of renewing the suspension on my S40, but I don't fancy coilovers or the likes. Preferably I'd like to do a like for like replacement (think it's the Volvo comfort suspension on the motor). The top mounts are on their way out as well. What would you recommend in terms of brand and performance for the struts, springs and top mounts?

Dan

I replaced mine with second hand original Volvo Sport suspension, just swapped out the whole strut, very happy with the result. If you can find a car to source them from (T4 or Sport Lux), the 6 letter VIN plate code (bottom left corner) for Sports springs should have a 'C' for the fronts and an 'E' for the rears. There are lots of colour dab combinations but mine were blue white on the front and green yellow on the rear.

Haven't checked the rears but the front are pink and yellow if I remember correctly. Would rather new suspension went in as old suspension from similar year cars wouldn't give me peace of mind lol

I have a full set of springs off my T4 Sport if anyone is interested. I swapped them out for H&R 30mm springs

Standard shocks and uprated springs would be my best suggestion

Anyone rate Monroe shocks? Antz what condition are the springs in? Any flaking or peeling on the finish?

The Volvo original shocks are Monroe. My comfort and sport ones look the same but have different part numbers on. I did take some pics but they're still on my camera, if you need to know, just say and I can dig them out.
