Default very good battery seems hard to turn over

hi all newbie here,

S80 D5 , I have a very good Varta 95 ah and have put a Clarke battery tester on it and it was good and good under load too, but when I start it up it seems sluggish to turn over, any ideas ?

also is there a way to clean the EGR in situ as I have taken the big rubber 90 elbow off and it needed a clean as it looks like it has not been done in a long time the car has done 134,000

Dont understand perfect english. Engine starts heavy?

Then is your starter. Easy job to do (on my mk3 V70 D5). On daparto.de Bosch and Lucas 150€.

First disconnect battery

Remove throttle body 4 screws and you can clean big part of EGR

I'd recommend looking at opieoils.co.uk - first time user gets 10% discount if you register for an account. I bought online at 3pm and it arrived 10am the next morning - and I'm very rural (and miles from a Costco). As a comparison 6 litres of 0W30 Castrol Edge Titanium cost me £57.46 delivered (with 10% discount)
