940 parts
Hi,
I am breaking a 940 Celebration - 'R' reg, 2.3 LPT manual petrol engine. It currently has an LPG conversion fitted (fully sequential) but I might need to take that off for myself depending what I get to replace it! Any requests? I don't expect to keep it for too long before allowing the scrap man to collect it so will only take the more obvious parts off unless someone asks for something specific... The o/s front door, wing & suspension are badly damaged as is (I think) the bonnet - it is still with the assessors so I'm not sure about the bonnet. James -
sorry to reply like this but not enough posts to PM you (I have asked admin to bump them up a few days ago, so hopefully I will soon be able to!) The gearbox is excellent, and I would want £125 for it. Thanks Andrew |

I would take the box at that money as long as its all in good working order
The only catch is, not only is my mechanical knowledge zero, i'm also disabled so I wouldnt be able to remove it myself. I'm not sure if this is something you would be willing to do?

Actually I think i'll wait and see if i can get it fixed any cheaper as a lot of people on my thread say the actual box should be fine. Sorry to mess your thread up.

The box would be out as I need to get the remains of the car to the scrap-yard in order to get the insurance to pay out - they need a certificate of destruction!
The gearbox is sweet as a nut. |

Does it have a DMF? If so, how much would you want for it?
Thanks.

Dual Mass Flywheel.
I believe you would only be able to tell for certain (someone feel free to correct me on that) by taking off the gearbox, although I'm pretty sure all later 940s have one...

Sorry - I haven't a clue! The engine & gearbox are still in the car, which is currently 30 miles away so I can't even give you the VIN - the reg is R940BDV if that is any help in finding out... Even when you can see it, how do you tell them apart?
As far as I am aware it is as originally supplied, so if they all had one then I assume this one does, but I can't say more than that. Having said that, it has a tow-bar, which I believe was fitted as a factory option, so it is possible that it also came with the single-mass one as I am told it is better for towing with, but I really don't know. Sorry! Andrew Last edited by clocks2003; Feb 21st, 2014 at 13:47. Reason: update |

Hi, do you have the plastic wood trim bits? I'd like to try fitting them to my 740.
