Default Short notice! 13th September. 300 series event. Somerset

A lot of work has gone into planning this event...but I had a feeling I'd forgotten something...and it turns out that was promoting it on forums!

Our 300-series event this year is being held at the Haynes Museum, Sparkford, Somerset, on Sunday 13th September.

Here are the adverts from Volvo Driver, which give most of the details:

June:

August:

Some of us will be congregating in the area on the Saturday, and we're planning to drive (albeit not in convoy, as such) from Michaelwood services (currently pencilled in for a 2pm departure, although that might get moved to an earlier time, if people suggest other waypoints), taking in a few sights along the way. Do let me know if you'd like to join in with that. We'll retire to a pub (probably the Catash in North Cadbury - but I will confirm in the next couple of days) for food in the evening.

The club is hoping (subject to numbers) to cover museum entry.

Track access on the Sunday is free for club members, and £20 for non-members. Helmets will be required. I'm planning to bring a couple to share, but if you have one, please bring it, especially if you're willing to lend it out.

I know it's (very) short notice, but it would be excellent to see you, if you're able to make it.

cheers

James

All members welcome, the spirit of the 300 seems to roughly translate to you like having an enjoyable day, you don't have to have a 300!

I'd bring my 240 down but I have an airshow and hangar dance the day before - sigh. Bicester Heritage the following weekend with Ryde Show too. Have fun chaps.

Exactly! As 740 owners, we greatly enjoyed your meeting last year at Ruddington. Somerset is a little too distant for us this year, but we'll be with you in spirit. Regards, John.

Excellent day James! (and everyone else who helped!)

Personally I don't seem to have much luck at the 300 events puncture at Crich, and at Sparkford Pop Up lights which not only won't pop up, but then wink......

Few pics attached.

Kind regards

Chris

Really was a good day and I'm glad so many cars had a go on the track. Museum has changed a lot since last time I went so super pleased to have visited that as well.

Thanks James for organising, sorry I didn't bring a Volvo!
