Default Parts has fallen on the engine belly protection.

I changed the oil today and when taking off the engine belly protection two parts were laying on the plastic protection sheet on the passenger side.
Can someone identify these parts?

The smaller part has splines in it so obviously a shaft used to go into it.
Several weeks ago I drove away at slow speed and heard a "grrrrrr"-noise from the front passenger side.
The sound lasted only a second and has been driving fine since then so I thought nothing more of it.
Now I know why that sound occurred.

That's the aircon compressor clutch. Must have been making a lot of noise before it let go.

Yes, it did make a lot of noise when it kicked the bucket but only for a short second.
Can the compressor clutch be replaced or does the whole compressor need replacement?

It looks as if it let go a long time ago!

Yes you can just replace it, best look at the tube for how 2 they're pretty well all the same so any car will do as an example of how to change it, however the pump could be shot inside as well so maybe a full recon unit is a better idea.

I would not take a risk with parts 70-80 euro and chamgebit. You have new for 300€ and you are done for many years.

I have the tools and I've seen vids on how to change it, but it's winter in Sweden and doing that job outside isn't exactly tempting.
This will have to be a job for a workshop mechanic.
They better change the auxilliary belt as well as that may have taken some punishment too.
