Bought a 340 earlier that's been sat for 6 months...
Changed battery for a good one.... Had it turning over, lights working ignition working, CD player working e.t.c left it for a bit.... Went to try again and now nothing. Turn the key to all positions and you get no lights or clicking or anything in the car or under the engine bay. Have tried various battery's and even an extra earth strap but still nothing... Scratching my head now! Any ideas??? Thanks |

It is the first thing to try , but also there is a main power feed coming off the thick red battery lead which goes to the starter , this feed is a big spade connector on the main battery cable and it disappears into the fuse box , it is surrounded by a black casing to insulate it , unplugging this and putting it back may help too. Failing this your fuse box may be corroded inside , this happened ocasionaly when the 340 was still in production .

It sounds to me that the plug under the dash going into the fusebox has a bad contact or that you need to change the fusebox itself.
A multimeter will tell you more......

Hi mate.
Make shure your leads to the starter are tight and earthed. I have a spare fuse box if your stuck but i would try everything else first. Cheers Mark. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |
