Problems with the VVT system
This is the first time posting for however I cannot find answers to my specific problem Ill start from the begining. I found an 03 S60 with the 2.4t and got a great deal on it, wouldnt be later till I found out why. The CEL was lit however when I test drove the car it felt fine. After buying the car I am contacted by a neighborhood fix it man who was working on the cars timing system, long story short I wind up with a puddle of tranny fluid in my drive way from his own truck and a gfy from him. I wound up finding out that he attempted a cam seal replacement and didnt lock the cams in place. After having volvo replace the seals for me I still had a CEL the code was for the exhaust cam signal being too low. Fast foreward a couple of years and now I myself have replaced both the cam position sensor and the reset valve. Most recently I have attempted to adjust the resting position of the VVT per VIDA instructions using the locking tools from volvo. Before the job I took a reading of where the cam was and it was sitting at -20 degrees. After adjusting the VVT the cam still read in the same place so Im begining to suspect an electrical issue but thought I would look to the forums before proceeding. Any help would be much appriciated Ive had the car for about two years now and am completely in love with her.

Its an ECM-643A code, exhaust cam position too low. According to what ive read on VIDA its a code that is thrown when the cam shaft is retarded in relation to the crank.
