hi all
i am new to the forum
i have a 1998 v70 2.5t i recently had some work done and the mechanic
noticed the front struts were loose so he is going to relace the top mounts and new shocks as the old ones are leaking but the price seems very high £678 is this right any help appreciated

What is he replacing them with, genuine items?

hi i think the shocks he is getting are sachs
he says the really expensive bits are the strut mounts lower parts

Although I have not tried these mounts yet I have only heard good things from these IPD units http://www.partsforvolvosonline.com/...oducts_id=6314

Although PFV is expensive compared to others the above will hive you a good idea on prices

the mechanic said that the strut mount lowers are dearer than the strut itself seems unlikely
