1967 121 for sale
https://www.carandclassic.co.uk/car/C1277788
My Amazon is up for sale on carandclassic up for £3800ono with parts: Sadly selling my 1967 4 door 121. B20 engine with single Zenith CD175se Carburettor and 123 electronic distributor. Manual 4 speed gearbox. I have owned this car for 12 years and has been my daily driver throughout. Very capable car in modern traffic. As my main car I've made sure it is regularly maintained. My last insurance quote was £70 and the car is tax exempt and doesn't require an mot. Has electronic ignition (modern sets of points seem to be made from tinfoil) and a starter motor from a 940 volvo. Alternator fitted to replace dynamo. Engine is a B20 and had a partial rebuild in 2016. Was fitted with D cam which means can be made twin carb by bolting on manifold. Timing gear was replaced last year. Oil changed every 3000 miles. Car performs well in modern traffic. Doesn't have overdrive but motorway journeys are still doable if only a little noisier. I have happily driven it to the Isle of Mull in Scotland and up and down the motorways and has been faultless. My regular commute ( before covid) was about 50 miles a day and the car coped really well. The car has an interesting history and I have some copies of original documents. Living outside does mean it has rust in the usual spots. Structurally the car is very sound where it matters. The following parts are included in the sale: -Fully restored colour matched steel nearside wing. -brand new boxed steel volvo front panel (these cost over £400 to buy) -brand new passenger footwell floor panel. -brand new headlamp bowls. -misc nuts and bolts etc -also some spare parts for front seats. This is a ready to go car and a great project to take on if you have the space and time to work on it. Unfortunately I have neither and I want to see the car go to someone who can tidy it up and enjoy it. Driving it has always put a smile on my face. |
