144 auto 1972.spares or repair.
hello
my daily driver for the last 3 1/2 years.Someone crashed into the back of it. Passenger side rear light is gone, rear wing and rear panel quite badly dented. The third party's insurer didn't give me enough to repair it....so. 86,000 miles--absolutely excellent engine and transmission.2 year old sports exhaust, new alternator(the new incorporating regulator one)completely overhauled,re-cored radiator(the special auto one of course).recent brake servo. excellent door cards, unsplit dashtop, etci'm the third owner-the second had it for a few weeks and the first from new were a Lord and Lady something of Tunbridge wells!--it was obvious to me when i got the car that it had been maintained well-resprayed etc.(i've had 10 of these cars in all kinds of states of repair). mots just about up--last one was just brake pads and wipers. by the way--its definitely repairable--no chassis damage.the only classic body shop in leeds are quite pricey, because they're very good and the feeble payout from the insurance crooks wouldnt cover their services car needs trailering. i'm in Leeds--please call Dave Lazonby on 0113 2161705,message me here,or email geesegeesegeese@aol.co.uk Last edited by Lord and Lady 144; Mar 13th, 2010 at 16:59. |

you're not far away----come and see the car
i tried to describe the damage to the car in my original post. thing is--i love this car--i cant be bothered trying to explain all kinds of **** about it to everybody. 140s have gone up in price--the insurancve money i got wouldnt buy one in as good rumnning order as mine Dave Last edited by Lord and Lady 144; Mar 14th, 2010 at 00:47. |

oh-and before i never communicate with you again-that car has no back brakes, handbrake or windscreen wipers.-so,good luck driving your children around in that...Mine,as i have said, has been my only car in daily use for 3 1/2 years.it has rear seat belts,as,coincidentally,i have 2 children as well...
all thats wrong with mine is bodywork at the back that needs repairing. i will not be posting anything else on this thread,or,indeed, forum goodbye |
