163 bhp performance any good ?
Hi
Just wondered what owners thought of the xc60 163 manual ? Im looking at replacing my 2008 bmw 320d. Im not expecting the same performance as the bmw is slightly more bhp and lighter. But I can find any figures for 50 - 70 mph. Does the 163 have sufficient power for over taking ? I've also been told by my company that Volvo are stopping the d3 2.0 163 and only the 2.4 AWD will be available with 163 bhp. Has anyone else heard this ? Makes sense as the AwD has the same co2 and mpg as the FWD. I would love to hear any experiences with the 163. Thanks Rob |

weight, gearing and where in the rev range the engine develops the power will have more bearing in the real world than BHP.
simple answer is to go for a test drive and see if it suits you.

Was totally surprised at the amount of grunt when I first drove my d3 geartronic.

That's surprisingly acceptable in gear times for a big diesel motor.
