haha nice to see im not alone, but what does driving the car say to you? what do you think other drivers/people are thinking?
i often get looks of bemusement or bamboozlement others just plain stare hehe so i wonder what they are thinking about when they see me driving my tank? iv seen myself in reflections and the car does look way too big for me..but nice car :P i enjoy driving it, its nice and comfortable on the hour long journeys to and from work |

I was 21/22 when I bought my V40 Diesel.
I got the usual old man car jokes etc, but they soon died away when they realised, i was driving a nice spec motor with full leathers etc. I have always had big cars and tow trailers etc, so the size of an estate car did not phase me. |

And I'm... well, 22 was a long long time ago. My first Volvo experience (if this counts) was that about 12 years ago I shared a garage with a colleague and depending who'd got in there more recently the other would have to move his car to be able to get out. He had a gold coloured 340 I think. My only view of it was that it was annoyingly difficult to start. Then for years and years I used to drive along inwardly shouting 'turn your lights off, it's daytime' at Volvo drivers. And look at me now... how times change. |

I bought my S40 diesel when I was 20. Now I'm almost 25. And nobody ever gave me any laugh or look for it. Actually, they were even impressed a little bit, finding out it is a good car for fair price.
Of course, many other youngsters still prefer Hondas and VW's, even if they themselves don't know why. To each his own, I say. Last edited by sebaveh; Jun 10th, 2010 at 21:34. |

At 18 I had a Hillman Avenger, fully rally prepared...
Lasted less than two days, before someone kindly ran into it at 1985 Scottish Rally! |
