Ignition Light for a facelift 2.0L GLT
Hi Folks...does anyone know if there should be a light around the ignition switch on a '95 2.0L GLT? If there should be, mine has never worked but there is a green ring around the switch. Thought I'd ask before I take all the steering wheel surrounds off to see. Thanks Peeps.

Mines got a green ring around it too and it lights up when I unlock the car. Handy in the dark
Pity the blower switches and right switches don't light up (I'd imagine they should do...). Personally I wouldn't dare take my dash apart for fear of the 'rattles'.

light around the ignition switch
Hi,
I too would be interested in how to get at the bulb behind the ignition as mine dosen't seen to work. As for the bulbs behind the heater panel as I was kindly informed by a recent reply :- To re new the bulbs is very easy just pull off the three control knobs!!!and the panel behind just teases out with a small screwdriver and you can see the bulbs. A very easy fix with no 'rattles' |

Thanks for your replies, chaps. You've inspired me to take the panels off to have a look. It tells you how to do it on page 12.12.23 of Haynes with a picture number 6.24. Cheers.

Having relaced the bulbs behind the blower switches several times I can verify that they really are easy to replace. If you use something like pliers to pull the switches off remember to use some wadding to prevent damage to the switch!
As for how you replace the bulb around the ignition ......... ask me another!!

Thanks for the info, I'll have to give it a go when I get round to it
I know it was a pain when I was trying to adjust the air vent flow when I was giving the air con its monthly exercise & I couldn't see what the hell I was doing lol.
