Do it now!
Fine weekend, quick check around the 340. Just as well I did. Coolant level low, due to hole in pipe above water pump. Knowing how susceptible the B14 engine is to overheat that was definitely a stitch in time.
Also opened the back brakes up. Both wheel cylinders leaking fluid. Replaced them both. Again, brake fluid over the drums is bad news. Also found tracking out and front tyre scuffed. Replacement saved Plod taking issue with us. All cheap(ish) fixes. So have a good look over your car before long dark nights make it impossible.

Hi Joe.
I have a pile of hoses somewhere. If you want, i could check if there is a top hose that you could have. Cheers Mark. :thumb s_up: |

Might be useful. It's the one that goes along the rocker box to the heater. I managed to shorten it, but a replacement would be better. Do you perchance also have some of that corrugated metal hose that connects the air intake to the exhaust flange?
Cheers

Well I'm in RoI, so that won't be much use to you.
However, if you click on the above pic, the part number and details are in the description. I've had a look on ebay and there are some there. Depends in the postie/courier sits on it in transit though... Ok, it's not black on the outside, but it's specifically for the job. If you don't have Mac's number, ask me (as he doesn't frequent here these days). I'm fairly sure he's got a new one in the man-cave.

Hi Joe.
I have found a perfectly good rad top hose for a 1.4.Also have a bit of that tubeing, not much but some. The rad hose even still has a thermostat in it lol. You can have them for the price of the postage if you need them. Cheers Mark. :thumb s_up: |
