Default distributer only working on 4 cylinders

hi ive a 2.4 5 cylinder s60, when it does run on gas it misfires so pinched all 5 pipes but one of them does not affect engine tone, the distributer has six ports so can i change one around or open up unused one and connect back up or do they have firing order, cheers.

Probably injector needs replacing rather than distributor.

hi didnt know they had injectors as such, just thought the inlets on manifold where just that ( inlets ) and gas pressure was regulated by distributer and reducer, thanks

The LPG injectors are on top of the inlet manifold, as close to the head as possible (if I remember correctly), apart from the one on cylinder 3 which is on the bottom of the manifold.

Easiest (and not recommended) way of checking gas is getting to the injector is to uncouple the gas line on the suspect injector and see if gas comes out when the engine is running.

great thanks, got to find out why no gas is getting to manifold, ie blocked injector or distributer blocked, if i disconnect pipe from distributer and blow some air into it to clear injector or should i use unused port on distributer to see whats going on, cheers

if you've got access to vida/dice, it will tell you which cylinder is misfiring.

Bear in mind that LPG will show up any slight deficiencies in the ignition system, whereas petrol won't, soif you've got a weak plug or coil, that could also be causing your misfire.
