FOR SALE - 1997 (R) S90 Luxury Ed.
Hi guys
For sale is my S90 Luxury Ed. 1997 on an R reg, 143,000 miles, 9 Months MOT. I only bought it in December with the idea that I'd make it my project car for the summer and return it to its former glory. Unfortunately work commitments have increased, and with my living situation changing recently, I really can't justify 2 cars - not at the moment anyway Original "popular auction site" listing can be found HERE. Good Points: It is the 2.9 24v (180bhp) engine which runs well, and gearbox is silky smooth, with the mode selector and kick-down working as they should. Cambelt done at 120k (sticker to prove it) Cream leather interior is in good nick, headlining isn't sagging, electric seats operate perfectly (and much comfier than my 940s!). Cruise control is superb too. No sign of leaks, rust or dampness anywhere that I can see. 4 good tyres on very good condition Mercurius alloys. Full size alloy spare. As a bonus, it is MOTd until 4th November 2016. New battery fitted in December and starts up every time on the button. Remote central locking with fob that works well - and 2 keys. Bad Points: Bear with me... No service history except last MOT certificate and an invoice for work done (before I bought it). I have just replaced all the dashboard switch bulbs, so the interior looks better than it was. There's a few more that need replacing, 1 inside the ECC control facia, and about 3 in the radio. (Grain of Wheat bulbs). Glovebox bulb holder is missing unfortunately. Temperature gauge instrument bulb works when it wants to. Handbrake cable needs tightening although parks completely fine on steep hills. Electric fan is currently not working, although it was when I bought it, I've checked fuses etc. but I really haven't had the time to sort it - apologies. Exterior isn't that great to be honest. Front N/S wing is a different shade of green, and there are bumps and scrapes all around. Notably, the lower front grill (by the fog lights) is missing and fog light lenses cracked. Rear bushes really need doing as there's annoying rattle - although not noticable at motorway speeds. These are in the boot and included in the sale! N/S headlight has a crack, but again comes with a new unit to be fitted. So there it is. I've tried to be as honest as possible, I'm not trying to make a quick profit, mug anyone off and I'm not expecting huge money for it. I love Volvos and it would be a shame to see it go to the scrappy or breakers. I know there's someone on these forums that will be able to give it the time and attention needed to bring it back to what it should be! Ideal project car.. I'm talking to you, doingitsideways! Looking for Ł360 ono - Which is what I paid for it + the cost of a new battery. Would also be happy to drive it (within reasonable distance) on the basis of adding the price of a train ticket home + petrol (but can be negotiated). Pictures to follow when I finally get home from work! Cheers guys Jonny

Anyone?
Surely someone wants to keep a RWD beast on the road?

Here are some photos.
Tried to show the scuffs on the corners as well as I could. The headlight, rear control arm bushes and new indicator stalk come with the sale. Cheers Jonny
