Where are all the XC60's ?
Since ordering my XC60 on 9th September, I can honestly say I havent seen a single one on the road ! Its a fact that you notice the model more once you buy one. Maybe I will once I get it delivered !!! Still saying 7th December
Is it just me or are they just all painted with stealth paint ??? I suppose once mine arrives I will be pretty special

I've certainly been noticing a few of them down here (Australia). A beautiful silver one parks just around the conner from my work and I admire each time I walk to my motorbike.

I drive one around Hampshire and I really enjoy the uniqueness of driving a car that no-one else has (or seems to have). I have seen one more on the road and I was most annoyed - I thought I had the only one
Luckily you are 'up north' so you can have the exclusivity in Preston and I can have it in Hampshire now let's wait for the comments ...... |

They are becoming more and more popular in Belgium - perhaps it's because they are assembled here! The local Volvo agent certainly seems to be quite busy with several awaiting delivery in the showroom.
I had to wait four months for mine to be delivered, but, believe me it was worth the wait! It's a brilliant car. |

I agree. Not many about in Essex. Did see two today though on my little trip down to London. An Ice White and a Petrol Blue one (not sure thats the name for the green/blue one).

Same thing here
... Even in downtown Chicago, I have only seen 3 since September when I first became aware of the XC60. No advertising either, until today, when I heard an advert on a sports radio program - some sort of contest where you can win an XC60. Allocation worldwide is supposedly only 50,000 (not sure if that's 2009 or 2010). I'd be surprised if 5,000 have been sold in U.S.
I'll try to ask the salesperson who sold me ours if he knows what the '09 totals are projected to be for U.S. When I picked ours up last week, he said they only expect 3 or 4 per month, and they sell them all immediately. They seem to have underestimated the popularity. |

None in my suburb of Melbourne (not sure where you are Bonnie). Surprising given that I live near Bilia Volvo (a dealer). Of course XC 90's are absolutely everywhere and have been wildly successful around here. I know of no less than 5 within a few blocks of my house and they outnumber all other large SUV's by about 3 to 1. I can only assume that, like me, many are awaiting delivery of their XC60.
My new D5 should be here next week, its a long way from Belgium to Melbourne! Been waiting about 6 weeks, though I am surprised to learn that delivery times downunder seem to be about the same as our Northern hemisphere cousins. |

XC60s ...They are hard to find indeed.
My wife and I were ready to buy our first Volvo we we're debating between the XC70 and the XC90 last year. Then our Volvo rep told us about the upcoming launch of the XC60 in North America. Since the day we saw it and test drove it was one sweet vehicle.
We were patient and ordered ours from the factory, lime grass green. Sales catalogues do not do justice to the actual colour. Our four legged family members love the vehicle also. Just try to go for a drive with out them and you will see some sad faces. This vehicle is a dream. The best we vehicle we have ever owned!!!!!!! |
