Hi Tony
Yes, had the same problem, it is refered to as a barometer sensor, part was £88.50 + vat & fitting, less 10% VOC discount, no idea if they are available else where.
Let me know how you get on.

Hi Tony

Had to replace mine about 2 months ago at a cost of £102.00.

Bosch dealer wanted £97.00 so not much difference there. I guess the cheapest option would be from a scrappy if you can find one with the part available.

Regards

Ian

siamblue bought the same sensor for £40 but it was off a astra turbo diesel, i think he needed to rewire the plug that fits it but at that price who cares. :)

mine has been playing up for the past few weeks and today it finally went for good, i'm going to buy a new one in the morning but i was wondering would the ecu light go off on it own when it detects a new sensor or will i have to pay the main stealer £40 to sort it?

Mine was given to me by Lea valley motors off a Astra disel turbo he said "i could just take it as he didn't have one in stock"
It was exactly the same as the Volvo one except the plug was different so i soldered it on,
Light went off straight away.

if you've got a warranty give them a ring.

i've got a gold policy with warrantydirect and they've agreed to pay for the replacement of my faulty sensor. :)

hiya lads replaced my barometric sensor light stayed off for about half an hour then came back on could this be a problem with either air flow meter ecu or just wiring code coming up suggests barometric sensor its a brandnew one from volvo and reading up on it controls the fuel and boost for operating at high alltitudes only booked the car in as it seemed a bit flat and the turbo wasnt spooling up the way it should wil see what happens tomorrow
