Buying a V60, looking for advice
Hi folks,
I'm about to buy a used 21 plate Volvo V60, this will be my first Volvo. I have two options available, both are 21 plates around the 35k to 40k milage mark... Both are R Design. However, one is the B6P engine and AWD, the other is the B5P and front wheel drive. I'm going for test drives, but does anyone have experience of these engines? Are they reliable? Also is there anything to look out for with these cars? Common issues to avoid etc? Many thanks for the help, Pete. |

Not sure if they were changed on later models, but I had issues with the tailgate struts that had to be replaced. Only issue I've had but mine is a D4 early 2020 plate

Mines a 2020 D4 CC. Issues I've had have been the sensus software sometimes glitching that required a software flash at the dealer, the outside temperature probe giving false readings and affecting the cabin air conditioning and the support battery failing requiring warranty replacement. Otherwise so far thankfully no other major problems.

Thanks guys, nothing too major then?
I drove the B5P version today... Impressed with the car. It has more than enough clout for me too, so I think I'll go for that one as I'm guessing that engine will be more reliable and more economical than the higher output, more complicated B6? Thanks for the help, Pete. |
