Hello.
I would be grateful if anyone has any ideas regarding my problem. I was trying to change the oil but noticed some on the gators that seems to control the steering. I have checked the gator itself but it has not split as far as i can ascertain.. There seems to be a buff-coloured mixture of oil and water which has settled on the lower wishbone. I know this is fresh oil and have noticed that the level seems to have dropped form about 1/2-2/3rds full to about 1/3 full. This may or may not be a red herring as we have recently done 1600 mile son holiday. However, I know oil ought not to drop that quickly. The problem is the cambelt side(front side). I left it with Braydon's this morning and they are going to flush engine and pressure test it, i tihnk, in order to check if head gasket has doen this. ANY OTHER IDEAS WHICH MIGHT KEEP ME FROM GETTING AN AMAZON ESTATE( MUCH MUCH SIMPLER!!) I have been busy recently going from the last page but only am at 414 so far. I cannot recall this probopem beign mentioned . all comments gratefully received. thansk |

ER!!!!!!!!!!!!
UPDATE. Apparently, despite my attempts, it transpires that it was an inner cv gaiter. I will double check to make sure it was not the gaiter I was looking at befpre i admit to being a complete p"""" by not seeing any split. Back to my expediton- trawling back page to the first- through these forums looking for weak spots. What with this and the tour de france, life can hardly be sweeter! |
