Default Wiring colours....

Has anyone received a wiring kit with all white wires....?

How am I supposed to finish this simple job without knowing where to put each pin in the block connector. My whole boot is stripped out until I can finish this...

I am reffering to step 30 in these instructions...

It wouldn't surprise me that the cables are differently numbered for identification purposes. If not time with a continuity tester will pay dividends' You know from the instructions where the individual wires exit and enter the various components, not a hard job.

Salut!

I understand but in step 38 pin 8 says tail lamp but this wiring diagram for a 13 pin socket says pin 8 is reverse. back to step 30 there is no reverse pin...???

The White cables do have numbers but don't make any sense, It says NR which does make sense but then it's like nr14 nr15, nr16. And also if you look at the cables, there is 8 showing and 1 taped up. I don't understand why 1 has been taped up...

I would suggest that the in

the reference is to the pin position inthe multi-way connector and not the 13 pin wiring diagram.

I totally agree with Pookie, a cheap continutity tester will be invaluable if you are voyaging into the realms of trailer / caravan electrics which are exciting to say the least!

I have a multimeter and can do a continuity test ok. Never thought of that though...lol

But I need 9 wires for a 13 pin socket, yes...? I can't see why one has been taped up but at least i will be able to determine what pin it is..

This is what I should be looking to achieve, am i correct...?

13 pin socket block connector
1 10
2 12
3 3
4 9
5 7
6 11
7 8
8 1
9 5

So basically i just put one probe to pin 1 on my 13 pin socket and the wire that beeps inside the boot goes into number 10 on the block connector...and so fourth...

Thats it, but check and double check before you plug the socket into the module.

Salut!
