Sunroof notworking/working
My 2002 T5 has not ran without the siren fuse for nearly 12 months, but all the while my sunroof has continued to operate normally. Today it stopped, thankfully it was 99% closed, but no amount of switch fiddling would kick it back into life.
I tried Marmitespreaders UEM reset ( thankyou for that BTW) didn't work. So I replaced the 5 amp siren fuse which others say when not fitted stops their sunroof working and hey presto whirl whirl sunroof fully closes. So I played with it awhile - just to make sure it was working fine, which it did. Then I took the siren fuse out again - whirl whirl sunroof still works just as before I know I should be just happy that it works, but I would really like to know whats been going on... any one got any ideas???? Nothing other than the siren fuse being replaced/removed was done - save the UEM reset Cheers Bob |

Update :-
Sunroof still working without the siren fuse 95% of the time. Its required the odd occassion but I then remove it again, and the roof continues to open and close until the next time. I am now constantly using it cos the air con has got a leak and has stopped working. Grrrr Bob |
