petrol in diesel
Hi All
i need some help, Accidentally I have put 10 litres of petrol in a a full tank of diesel in my S60 will i be okay leaving it in or do i need to drain it all??? Thanks |

I would drain, 10 litres is a lot!

drain it as said might not do the car any damage but i would not like to take the chance, ten ltrs is a heck of a lot.

get it drained! that could cost a bomb to fix if you try and run it

Thanks for all the replies, done as suggested drained (syphoned) and refilled 75 litres, thanks again for the suggestions.

What happens when a diesel engine's asked to burn petrol, or vice versa? I've seen smoke pouring out of a car's exhaust before, but I've never got down to the chemistry of it.
