Thumbs up Midlands Meet - 25/01/2009 - at Pizza Hut, Merry Hill

It's that time again chaps! If we're going to arrange a meet for January we need to get the ball rolling so people can allow time in their diaries. I think toward the end of Jan would be better. Any ideas on a venue?

Potentially in, depending on the date and location. I'll be delivering a 360 and collecting a 164 on a flatbed one weekend in Jan, so I could always call in with one of those

cheers

James

What kind of thing are we after then? We could find a pub with a nice big car park and ask for permission and maybe pre-arrange some grub I suppose. Anyone?

I have added my name.

What about Merry Hill? Plenty of parking; enough where we can all loose 20% of the group at a time. Also loads of shops and eateries. We have to think of the spouses and children, there is plenty there for everyone

Might be able to get another 50% discount on food.

Greg

Merry Hill is another good idea. I think we need to final on this fairly promptly if we're to avoid annoying everyone though . Which is it to be?

Personally I thought Start City was rather lifeless. Also, if we move the meet location to somewhere new each time it will even out the distance some of us need to travel. Some of use have the length of the M54 and more before getting into the general area.

Later in the year we could visit a National Trust property or other landmark. Maybe drag you townies into the Shropshire hills

That sounds ok. Keep to Merry Hill this time then, and move to somewhere in the countryside for Suterman's BBQ when it starts to warm up a bit - sounds sensible

Does anyone object to Merry Hill then?
