Rear Mud Flaps?
Hi people
I have a 99 v70 and am looking to fit OEM rear mud flaps. I believe that none of the normal models were sold with rear mud flaps in the uk around the time mine was manufactured. I wondered if anyone knew where I could source a pair in the uk and knows how to fit them or point me to a thread that explains how they are fitted. I know they are riveted on but after doing some googling I have read that some people have had issues with fitting and with no real explanation or pictures of why.

they were a opt extra on the rear, they are easy to fit, when you get some ,offer them up to the wheel arch and mark the holes and drill and rivet them on, or bolt them on .

V70 rear mud flaps.
I asked the same question a couple of months ago and drew a blank. I asked my local dealer who informed me that they were no longer available. I found some one on ebay who had them and I asked if they were in fact " original Volvo " parts which they assured me they were. I ordered them and they were as they said, but they were not cheap. I've fitted my previous S and V 70's with the flaps because they do save some splattering of the bumper with road muck and I think they do look better !
I think the web seller is " Parts Monster ". Fitting is easy. I found the best way is to remove the roadwheel and this gives better access to rivet the flaps on. The holes are already there when the original rivets are drilled out. There is one rivet that goes inboard of the bumper ones that I found better to put a washer at the back of to make it a better fit. This hole does not have a rivet fitted originally. Hope this helps, Cliff |

You can get expanding plastic screws from most car places, or use large headed alloy rivets and just rivet them on

Cheers guys, I will order the black rivets I think.
Any luck Allen? if so, I wouldn't want to take them off you for free, plus you live quite a while away so we'd have to consider postage as well. Sorry this isn't a PM, 22 posts young. ;p
