Nasty - hope the other car came off worse!!

I have a set of excellent 740 headlamps - but they are for the pre-facelift one (without the upright plastic trim between the headlamp and grille).

I am not sure if these would fit or not, maybe someone better knowledged could comment..?

I have decided to break my 1989 740, due to it always letting me down, have at look at my pics and see if the headlights are the same,Tommy.

Hi Tommy I'm sorry as I was just trying to confirm for Hursty that YOUR lights looked to be the right ones that he needs.

If he needs to see the variouse types he can go find a post by LANEY 760 posted last on oct 6th.I put lots of pictures showing the differences between early 740 and face lift models including two that are indeed facelift ones as well as 760 and 940 variations.

The post is titled 745 minter.
Go to post 19 and post 23.
Regards Brian.

As a fellow ex-Christchurch Volvo owner We may be able to help each other! I've just had a stone go through my r/h headlamp on a pre 89 car and have just been in touch with a friend in Christchurch who may have several of both types.
I'm now near Timaru so let me know if we can do something.
