Default Volvo On call renewal

hi all, so we have a 2011 xc90 and the oncall will expire shortly. It is also due a service and so will get the 12 breakdown once it is serviced.

Has anybody renewed on call and was it worth it?

I would quite like to keep the app functionality but dont need the breakdown bit.

thanks

If you don't renew On-call, you will get an advisory message every time you start the car.
You can cancel the message, but it returns every time you start the car.

on call is a lot more than apps and breakdown cover i would certainly renew it , you and your passengers life could depend on it ...

Volvo On Call is a built-in assistance service featuring a groundbreaking mobile app that puts you in constant touch with your Volvo. Check your fuel, heat your car, lock and unlock the doors – with your smartphone you can communicate with your Volvo wherever you are. The service also includes roadside assistance, emergency help, theft notification and tracking of your car.

Unfortunately not on my 2010 Exec.
These App features are only for the 2012 models onward I think.

Ours is a 2012 model year exec and lots of things are not supported vai the app. I have renewed today for 2 years and will make sure come service time they remove the cost of the breakdown assurance from the service cost.

pid £241 for 2 more years.

Worth saying the sos bit still works without the subscription, it is the app and breakdown service that stop without the subscription.

Cheers

Is the on-call worth renewing when one has an older model ? Have a MY06 XC70 and not sure what features it has to offer for the older model years ?
Anyone experienced the pro's and cons ?
