Why is the safety guy in head to toe high vis wearing a hard hat? Surely talking to BBC journalists isn't that dangerous?

So the report said he crossed the white line and then swerved to avoid a car. It's not the road that is dangerous it's him.
My contention is that roads are inanimate, neither dangerous or otherwise just roads, it's the road users who make them dangerous.
Two Sundays ago while driving a quick and twisting section of the A470 below Brecon was overtaken on double white while traveling at 55mph approaching a blind left hander by no less than 7 motor cycles who then had to jockey each other for position trying to fit into the gap between cars two ahead of me result the two ahead of me, myself and the two behind had to go hard on the breaks to make room for the suicide jockeys. Had anything come around the left hander at 60 in the opposite direction carnage would of ensued and doughtless that section of road would of been deemed dangerous by the inadequate morons who thought they owned the road and the highway code did not apply to them.
Its people NOT roads that are dangerous.
Paul.

I hope that the appropriate authorities see that video and remove his driving licence for bikes and order a re-test. The same should apply to his car licence if he has one.

Paul.
Power rangers! The reason I and most of my mates will avoid riding on a sunday afternoon - they are usually dressed head to toe in expensive race suites and have no blooming idea how to control a bike safely.

(PS read my sig )

Totally correct and the highest percentage of casualities comes from the middle aged group who as you say look like complete W@nkers in their power ranger leathers and titanium knee sliders ( they do track days so are obviously on a par with Lorenzo ) bragging in the pub after another exciting foray which extends to a 1000 miles each year. Embarassing Jokes !
I know that the knob in the video was young but so many are 45 + guys with an ego and imagined penis size way in excess of their ability.
The road is not the problem and never will be.
