What is your XC90 milage?
Hi All,
I just wanted to have an idea what type of mileage people have on their XC90's in this community. Please share yours. I'm looking to buy a 2003 or 2004 XC90 & just want to have an idea of what mileage to I can get these days. Saw some ads with 150K to 200K. |

I'm currently looking at a 2003 XC90 with 165k.
She's a game old bird but I think it is fair to say she has issues. Drives nicely but has most of the usual old XC90 issues. I may well have a punt though because I fancy doing her up and I don't want to teach myself on a pricey car. |

What are the usual issues? I became interested with the XC90 as my mate has bought a 2003 version & I really liked the way it looks & the practicality & no DPF
What do I need to look out for? |

AWD not working is the big one on the car I'm looking at.
Get underneath and try and turn the prop shaft by hand. If you can it is crackered. Still want it though! Love them. |

2015 D5 Exec just coming up to 5,000 miles
I've never known a car that has run in as well. Every thousand miles it's like a switch is flicked and the engine and gearbox improve that little bit more. And if anyone wants to wait three and a half years it will be going with a full Volvo service history and no more than 40,000 miles! |

54 plate D5 SE Manual. 223k - had it from new. Usual issues been and gone.
Needs a bit of TLC this year as I've been very busy and need to give it a proper detail. Recent service items were track rod ends. Only thing that doesn't work is the bulb for the CD eject button and the rear wiper has finally stopped. It's on the to do list :-) Average MPG display still reads 43mpg on a motorway run. No plans to change it anytime soon ;-) Best car I've ever had. Cheers Ian. |

I've got 141k on mine, I bought it without driving it because the gearbox was fooked. This was a risk but actually worked out ok-ish. The ish part is really down to the price of genuine Volvo parts.
The car had full history, 50% with main dealer, but still had minor issues. The bits I replaced to get it up to spec were handbrake shoes and adjusters, track rod ends, anti roll bar links, lots of bulbs. I had the alloys refurbed as they were scabby and four new tyres. Jobs still to do are the engine mounts (common D5 problem, vibration in cabin) and I still have a creak from the n/s front suspension. Drives very, very well though... |
