1990 Volvo 940GLE 2.3 Maroon Estate 12month MOT
I love my Volvo, perhaps more than any other car I have owned and I've owned some great cars. The Volvo oozes character, wafts along and just delivers time and again whenever I drive it. I haven't posted much on here and the simple reason is, I haven't needed to! This car has been simply fabulous.
However, a change in circumstances (a new arrival in the family - car and baby!) and after 2.5 years of great motoring its time for her to go. I've just put 12 months MOT on her as I want the next owner to carry on using the car and not just scrap it. It's far too good for that. She has a measley 140k miles on her, has a leather interior, electric tilt/slide roof and all the other great GLE extras you would expect to find. The heated seats and air con long since passed away but the rest of her is just fine. She runs great. Had new brakes and tyres in Oct'07 and a I treated her to a home service in the spring this year replacing the HT leads, distributor cap, air filter, oil filter, plugs and oil etc. She runs very sweetly indeed (always has) with the leggy 2.3 engine taking everything in its stride with no drama whatsoever. She really needs to go before Christmas I've afraid so she's on eBay with a 59.99 (the cost of my MOT last week) start price and no reserve. If anyone is genuinely interested and can offer her a good home then please let me know. eBay link Just some of the many pics from the ad, can be found below. I think she's worth every penny of the £499 I'd like to achieve. Of course, I am a realist though and for a quick cash sale I'm open to sensible offers. It is Christmas afterall, I have a family to feed etc and this old girl is as realiable and as comfortable as they come.

Going by your eBay listing, it looks as if the car could be used and enjoyed as is, or treated to a rolling improvement/upgrade programme to make it even better still. I hope it goes to someone who appreciates it as much as you have
