Name that roof rack...

Here is one for you, My dad has had a massive number of roof racks over the years on I think 11 volvos and has held on to a roof rack but can not remember which model it was for. Will try my best to get photos ASAP but does any one on here have any advice as to matching it up as we are looking to sell the item.

From the sheer size of the thing, it must be from a 740 estate car.
The brackets would suggest the same thing, as they are for gutter fitting.

the measurements are;

Length - 80 inches
Mount to mounth width - 48 inches

It's not a roof rack, that is a single bed, you have lost the mattress

Last time i saw summat that big it was fastened to a sherpa van.

Looks the same as the one I had for my 760 - if so it will fit all 700 series and 900 series estate cars I believe (probably including V90s). Might also fit 240 estates but not sure (think there a bit narrower). And as emmerson2 said - its for a gutter fitting.

How much is something like this worth? It's taking up space and we want rid ASAP.

It's for a 200 series OR for a 700/900 series estate. It will fit one OR the other, not both as the 200 series rack is slightly narrower.

To avoid disappointed buyers it might be helpful is somebody in possession of a rack already could measure it to be 100% sure what it fits.

It is either a 200 series or 700/900 estate the 700/900 will fit a 200 but not the other way round the 240 estate rack has thicker posts( the vertical bits from the gutter to the rack) they can be slimmed down by a file or abasive disc to fit 700/900, going price around £50.00
