T5 - High pressure coolant / slug at low revs
Dear owner volvo's,
I would like to share two situations that occur with my 2000 V70 T5, and return me your feedback in order to know if this also occurs the with your volvo's and if that are defective or natural: 1 - high pressure in the cooling system. Happens especially in urban travel that often ranges from the engine idling and 2550-3000rpm - the cooling reaches much pressure checked by how hard are the rubber tubes (usually check the tube that connects the thermostat to the radiator). Such that, and it is guaranteed that the liquid level inside the expansion tank is recommended, following the journeys mean, if you open the cap of the expansion tank, the force with which the air comes out is such that even "whistles" and have to close shortly thereafter because the remaining air volume is not enough to compensate for the increased volume of the liquid. It is the same with you? Just to add, the temperature never comes above the normal value and the engine already open and everything was normal (head tested and OK) or that are not ok, was replaced (multiple gaskets, valve seals, etc..) - My mechanic walks up crazy. 2 - Having this girl 2319cc, when I put the box in manual mode, and at a speed that has already entered the lookup (eg, in 3rd at 40km / h), to accelerate, it was expected she runs up quickly but it seems that there is no 250hp there. For example, previously I had a Nissan Primera 1.6 rom 1996, and what I can say or comparison the V70 T5 until 2300/2500rpm, I have not more car than the Nissan. I have a nephew with a Scirocco 2.0T (yes, I know, it's different - in weight, dynamics, in specs, but it has "only" has 200hp, and this 250) that wherever he go (rpm's, course) need not always have to reduce gearbox to go on - in a relax speed, he runs up more quickly in 6th out faster than me in 3rd. Does the she runs well just over of 2500rpm, where the max torque enters!? Thanks everyone. |
