Default XC90 53 Auto 2.9 petrol Oil Leak

Hi there, I'm new here. I've owned my xc 90 for about 9 months now, handed down by someone who went overseas. I love it!!!!

I've had a few maintenance problems, bearing etc but nothing major.

I now have an oil leak, which seems to be coming from the head gasket area, been told it's the head gasket needs doing, about £1500. But there is no water loss, or water in the oil, or oil in water, or smoke coming from exhaust. Other people have said there is no way it could be the head gasket.

I have been shown, where the oil is coming from, and seen it myself when the engine is running, top left.

Can anyone advise. Is it worth spending the money, have 235000 on the clock, but it runs like a dream. Could it be something else, or is there another alternative to fixing the leak i.e. leak sealer.

All advice welcome. Thank you.
