The dealer will be using a high output commercial charger. No need for that in a domestic setting. An intelligent charger like this will do the job:

I've been using one of these for years. It's safe to charge the batteries while they're still connected to the car and that's made simpler by the supplied permanent cable/plug connector. (However, personally, I wouldn't run the reconditioning programme with the battery connected to the car.)
That said, a car being used 'normally' shouldn't need trickle charging. The exception would be many short journeys with a high electrical load (heated screens, seats, etc). I don't know if the XC's charging system favours the start/stop battery over the main battery or vice versa.
