V70 Oil Leak
You're help and guidance please.
This has probably been covered many times before but I'm hoping that someone can help shed some light on the issue for me.? My V70 D3 (2010) has an oil leak that appears to be coming from the plastic black cover that fits on the aluminium head. The oil seems to be spread around, it looks like someone has tried to bodge it with some sort of silicone and what looks like foam in order to prevent the spread. There is residual oil near to the campbell housing with a residue on the driver side drive shaft and some on the sub frame. I've checked back on the previous MOT's and it's listed there as having an oil leak.! The car is still under its initial 3 month warranty as I bought it from a dealer and I also have a 12 month extended warranty (some say they're not worth the paper they're written on ) for what it's worth. In my initial purchase i pointed this out and they said they would"Investigate it and rectify it" Evidence shows that it has not been rectified as it's still leaking. Has anyone else had issues like this? Sorry for the vagueness of the post but mechanics is not my strong point. (Fixing leaks on people I can do but vehicles, i just don't know where to start.) Any help or laughing at me is welcomed, thank you for your time. PJ |
