Default Issues with V50 Valve differences

Hi all,

I'm looking at a sick 2005 V50 tomorrow (Saturday) that has two leaking valves,
I'm led to believe that the valve adjusting procedure is different in the white block as my 940 has hydraulic tappets.
The car is for my wife and her colleague who is selling the car says she's not paying the £800 the garage have quoted for the repair.
The engine is a 1.8 MW 545 petrol and l fear that the repair procedure be not so straight forward even though l can do the work.......taking into consideration the cam belt,Head bolts, cost of skim, etc
The car is well presented @ 117,000 mls and the AA man has said if she sells it he will buy it!!....................any thoughts would be most welcome.

Many thanks.
