Curtius New Member Last Online: May 13th, 2024 15:55 Join Date: Jul 2015 Location: Thetford	Dump Valve Noise My 2010 diesel engined XC60 has recently started to make a whistling/hissing noise when changing up a gear whilst pulling hard. It sounds very much like the dump valve operating on a previously turbocharged petrol engined vehicle, however as a diesel engine doesn’t need a dump valve I am puzzled as to what can be the cause. Any ideas?
