I think I'm getting somewhere now with my new computer.
When I check the string angle sensor value, it's 360° off. Basically when centered my angle should be zero but it's -360. The computer has the ability to calibrate the angle sensor but it doesn't seem to make any difference. I can turn the steering wheel all the way left without any issues even though the angle is 360° off no matter where you're at. When I try to turn the steering wheel to the right, I'm okay until we get to the point where the car thinks I've turned further than The steering wheel should be able to and that's when it crashes and throws errors. Any idea what I can do to get it to be 0° when my wheels are facing forward? Is it possible that the people that replace my engine somehow installed the device 360° off? Not sure where to go from here that doesn't involve me buying a $600 piece of equipment. Especially when this one seems to work perfectly fine aside from not showing zero degrees one centered. If I do a calibration, and then immediately without moving the steering wheel go to the testing. It shows 0° until I move the steering wheel just slightly and then it jumps immediately to -360. Thanks in advance! |
