  • VOC Members: There is no login facility using your VOC membership number or the details from page 3 of the club magazine. You need to register in the normal way

I'm surprised they weren't already trying to play in that market there decades ago. They've always been a lot more expensive than cars real people buy, here in Straya.

When the 240 came out here in 1975,
(*) the base 244DL was $7731, and a 264GLE was $13055
(*) a (more powerful & reliable) Crown was $4995
(*) the Holden Kingswood range (equivalent of Opel Commodore I guess - but a bit bigger) was from about $4k to $6614 for the top-spec 5L
(*) the Ford Falcon range (Granada equivalent I guess but again a bit bigger) was from about $3400 to $6700 for the top 5.8L 2dr

They released the 960 with the archaic gutless thirsty PRV for $80850 and it went up to $86000 in 1991 with the whiteblock, when an E34 525i was $88500 ... no wonder there are so few 960's around!
