Default Bumper Fixings

Hey there again, my 93' 240 torslanda has an uneven front bumper projection, as the numberplate is cracked it looks like the previous owner has driven into something, which has pushed the bumper back (on the drivers side). It now projects more to one side than the other, i tried good old elbow grease to pull it out but it would'nt shift. How is the bumper fastened??, if a tied one side to a solid object and slowly let the clutch out (in reverse gear) would this pull the bumper back out?. Ive read somewhere that the front bumper is mounted on shock absorbers

Any help you could give would be great

Steve
