Hard Start, High Idle, stumbling B230F
Hello everyone,
first post from a guy in the states, you have more activity than 240 forums over here. I hope you can help me. My car starts hard when cold, when it starts it's rpm's are way up there for about 3 to 4 min. and then she settles down to a normal idle speed, when I accelerate its as if i'm "pedaling" the throtle when my foot is steady....it accelerates...falls flat on her face...accelerates...falls flat on her face, when cruising speeds it runs fine..its almost as if I had an old points type ignition and had the dwell way off...advances...retards...advances...retards...et c. I hope you can understand what i'm describing. New spark plugs, wires, cap, rotor, both fuel pumps, fuel filter, Oxygen sensor (3 wire) installed a little over a year ago, and the above symptoms were not present before or after that work. It started hard after a fuel stop one day, I opened the hood and found a couple of vacuum lines had popped off, and she hasn't been running the same since then. I have pulled codes; 221, 123, 113, off the ECU, 224, off the EZ116K ignition. I have replaced the ECU temp sensor, I have cleaned the MAF(heated wire), Idle Control Valve, Throtle Body, flame arrestor, all vacuum lines, disconnected every electrical connection, safely cleaned with proper cleaner, and protected with CRC 2 26, a spray lubricant that protects metals from corrosion and improves conductivity, under the hood and my dash. I should also state that there is nothing in my catalytic converter housing...she has 150,000 miles on her, I assume it's contents have burned away some time ago....I know this because thats where my oxygen sensor goes into, I also removed what was left of my 2" preheater hose from the exhaust manifold and my airbox. I have removed and cleaned my throttle position sensor, nothingf has changed....any ideas? any one ever have this problem? Thanks in advance Paul. |
