Next Problem
Following on from the heater control valve failing, I now have no spark at the plugs, (but a good spark from the coil) It was running fine with the replacement HCV in place then last night it stuttered about twice, the lamda light came on, and it was all over. I am assuming that the large quantity of steam released when the HCV failed has penetrated the distributor and condensed shorting out the ignition, question is will it be a "simple" case of drying out the dizzy cap (I'll probably replace it while it's off anyway) or is there likely to be some additional electrical gubbins in there that will need replaced? Anybody had similar problems? (Even if it wasn't the distributor!)
As usual any advice gratefully received! Best Regards Ian |
