Default Odd feeling

Difficult to describe, but recently when driving I've felt something a bit strange.
Crusing along, constant speed (usually around 70), constant revs, when with no warning it feels as though the car has more power and it surges a bit. It's almost as if something has been slightly blocked and has cleared, no other symptoms, no cough or noise from the engine/exhaust, just a seat of the pants feeling that something is different. Other than that it performs as normal.
If I'm not imagining it, it's happening once or twice in a journey of 25 miles.

Car is a late Classic AWD V70.
No codes stored.

Anything I should look at or should I ignore it?
