Default throttle housing programme

After deciding to buy a new throttle housing for my v70 non turbo, I thought I was doing myself a favour rather than sending my old unit up to a well know name on here.
Foolish me I now find out I will need to re-programme the unit to my ECU by a Volvo dealership god knows what that will cost, a right bloody nightmare.
What I am trying to find out has anybody on here had to have it done, and what did it cost.

Julien.

Hello, I can not answer your question. Who sold you a new ETB without informing you of the necessity to marry it to the car? How much did it cost? TIA, Kira

Hi .

Phew!!! hopefully if that is about the price I should expect to pay I would be more than happy with that. I was expecting a lot more than that. I have already fitted it.

Many Thanks.

Software cost 50pence+vat. Dealer shouldn't charge you more than for 20 mins of labour.
